 \n\nUCLA\, USC\, and Reitaku University join forces to host the 6th Annual
  Humanitarian Mapathon\, a free mapping competition to support the [Humani
 tarian OpenStreetMap Team](https://www.hotosm.org/) (HOT). Everybody is we
 lcome to attend\, whether you have any mapping experience or not! Training
  will be provided to ensure that you are able to participate and contribut
 e to humanitarian causes around the world.\n\nThis three-day international
  hybrid event will include student speakers\, hands-on training\, donuts\,
  prizes\, and more. Join a community of humanitarian mappers\, and let's a
 ll make a difference.\n\nThis Mapathon started as a joint event held by UC
 LA and USC for [GIS Day](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GIS_Day). This year
 \, it is being held around [Earth Day](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth
