DESCRIPTION:The U.S. Department of State's MapGive initiative\, with suppo
 rt from the National Museum of American Diplomacy\, invites you to join an
  educational\, participatory virtual mapathon in support of global public 
 health response\, on April 28th from 10am-12pm EDT.\n\nCrowdsourced mappin
 g projects are helping global health efforts around the world. Participant
 s will hear from State policymakers\, public health experts\, humanitarian
  organizers\, GIS professionals\, and others in the open mapping community
  who are currently responding to the COVID-19 crisis\, and will contribute
  to the creation of updated map data to assist with public health efforts.
 \n\nThe event is open to the public and all mapping experience levels\, in
 cluding first-timers. Training will be provided for new mappers. No additi
 onal software is required - to be able to map\, please plan to use a lapto
 p with an internet connection. (Tip: if you don’t already have one\, tak
 e a moment to sign up for an OpenStreetMap user account (https://www.opens
 treetmap.org/user/new)\, and map with a mouse if you have one.)\n\nWe will
