DESCRIPTION:The UN Maps Crowdsourcing Team is offering a ten-session **onl
 ine training workshop in English** on "Validating OpenStreetMap data" for 
 experienced JOSM mappers.\n\nThe workshop will cover the following topics:
 \n\n    • Training Introduction\n    • Introduction to UN Maps\n\nthen
  the training will aim to teach [this course available on the UN Maps Lear

 \n\nwhich consists of three main guides:\n\n    • OSM validation tools a
 nd techniques\n        ◦ Introduction\n        ◦ the validation steps 
 of the OSM Tasking Manager\n        ◦ some tools and plugins in JOSM\n  
       ◦ Overpass\, a technology that extracts a portion of OSM data base
 d on various criteria\n        ◦ Osmose\, a thematic error detection ser
 vice\n        ◦ Whodidit\, a service for detecting changes in data over 
 an area of interest\n        ◦ OSMCha\, a service that analyzes all OSM 
 changesets and compares the latest version of OSM data with the previous o
 ne\, in order to detect potentially damaging contributions (such as vandal
 ism or mass import) or contributor profiles likely to commit errors\n
