DESCRIPTION:On **Wednesday 7 May 2025 (18:00-21:00)** we are organising an
  OpenStreetMap (OSM) Mapathon at TML! One or more experienced OSM voluntee
 rs will be on site to explain. The main theme of the evening is cycling in
 frastructure.\n\nAfter a general introduction about OSM\, you will learn h
 ow to enter data yourself using handy tools. Data extraction will also be 
 covered. We delve deeper into:\n\n- The interpretation of OSM concepts aro
 und cycling infrastructure\,\n- Editing tools (ID\, JOSM)\n- Data quality 
 and tools to improve data like Mappilary\, detecting inconsistencies\, and
  using automatic recognition algorithms for mapping infrastructure.\n- Foc
 us on areas with recent Mapillary footage (urban area\, ex. Ghent and peri
 -urban\, ex. Boechout/Mortsel) \n\nIf you want to come\, please send a mai
