 rom Delhi\, visiting Lucknow for the weekend.\n\nOSM volunteers improve Op
 enStreetMap in their free time because it's fun\, and because it's a more 
 privacy-respecting alternative to Google Maps.\n\n(Most of them avoid usin
 g Google Maps and prefer to use OSM-based apps instead.)\n\n## What is Ope
 nStreetMap?\n\nOpenStreetMap is a community-owned map of the world made by
  people like you.\n\nIt is *libre data* (or *"open" data*)\, which means e
 verybody has the freedom to use\, study\, share\, and improve it.\n\nBeing
  libre data means it's not tied to any one company - so improving OSM bene
 fits the whole world.\n\nBeing libre data also means it is guaranteed to a
 lways be available\, unlike companies which come and go.\n\n## What will w
 e be doing?\n\n- [16:00 to 16:15] Introductions and chit-chat  \n- [16:15 
 to 16:25] New participants learn what OSM is and a simple way of using it.
   \n  * Returning participants learn new ways of using OSM.  \n- [16:25 to
  16:40] New participants learn to edit OSM  \n  * Returning participants l
 earn new ways of editing OSM.  \n- [16:40 to 16:45] We split into teams\, 
 and each team is assigned an area to map.  \n- [16:45 to 18:45] The teams 
 map the areas they are assigned to.  \n- [18:45 to 19:00] We regroup\, and
  conclude the party.  \n- [19:00 onwards] We grab some food and drinks tog
