  brought together more than ten million members since its creation in 2004
 . Every day\, its contributors enrich a free geographical database coverin
 g the entire globe using a wide range of tools and technologies.\nFollowin
 g an overview of the challenges associated with (digital) maps\, this pres
 entation will offer an accessible introduction to the OpenStreetMap ecosys
 tem: its motivations\, how it works\, its community\, the main tools (serv
 ers\, APIs\, applications\, etc.) for viewing and reusing the data\, as we
 ll as ways to contribute\, whether as an individual\, a business or an ins
